Project Information
Kraftwerk is my favorite music band ever since I heard them in 2023. For this audio-initiated
project, I designed a modular typeface with three weights—each responding to
different frequency ranges (bass, mid, treble) in real-time. The system evolved
into a complete brand identity for Kraftwerk's fictional 2026 tour, including
an interactive website, posters, and merchandise.

Deliverables- Design a complete visual identity system for Kraftwerk's 2026 World Tour
- Use coding to make my font responsive to the music
1. SystemThe typeface itself could be a "robot" that transforms in real-time based on music frequency bands.
Then, I created three weights.Then, I created more letters for each weight.
Each weight functions as a distinct "signal
system," responding to different frequency ranges (bass, mid, treble) within the music.
Like a robot's signal system:
BASS → Stable foundation structure
MID → Rhythmic pulse
TREBLE → High-frequency electrical signalsThen, I told Claude and ChatGPT about it.
I created a website (with their help) !Screenshot from the final website (flash light warning)2. ApplicationsI created 4 posters, using
the lyric “WE ARE THE ROBOTS”
and tried a motion.It seems like they could
become
one poster?!Part of my concept is to reflect a range of state, from stable to chaos, I created a series of poster that shows this range.
Then, I introduced Cinetype Regular as my secondary typeface.
And a motion piese.From now on I settled my visual tool kit.
