Project Information
RightNow is an AI lawyer app connecting undocumented migrants with legal resources to improve unsafe working conditions. The app utilizes AI voice function to offer easier and smoother communication between targeted users. During the project I oversaw project direction, coordinated timeline and team roles, and facilitated brainstorming, wireframing, and prototype delivery.
The project is awarded Second Prize and selected for the SVA BFA Design 2025 Spring Gallery Show; In September, the project was also exhibited at Gwangju Biennale Foundation.

Background
News of mass immigration arrests has swept across the US over the past couple of weeks. Laborers with no criminal records are facing risks to get arrested.
Design Goal:
Provide legal assistance for illegal workers who face unfair treatment but cannot seek legal help through official channels due to their immigration status.
Target Users
Our users population is larger than we think. They range from those who face workplace harassments, international students who work to pay for tuition, underpaid workers, and illegal immigrants.
ResearchHowever, being an “illegal worker” is not their fault but rather, corporations exploiting legal loopholes.
The information gap between companies and immigrants is highly unfair, leading to blackmail situations.
Why Do We Care?
They are significant.
Many industries are relying on undocumented workers. They provide indispensable contributions to these fields.
